Low TMB level could be the reason for the poor efficacy of ICBs in patients having EGFR mutation. And mutational frequencies of KRAS and BRCA2 were lower in EGFR-mutant patients. Furthermore, ALK, CDKN2A, MAP2K1, IDH2 and PTEN might involve in the formation of immune phenotypes.

Low prevalence of p16 and HPV associated OPSCC and non-OPSCC were confirmed in Thai patients. High discordance and low positive predictive rates of p16 were observed in HPV-associated OPSCC. p16 was a significant prognostic factor for OS for patients with OPSCC or non-OPSCC. Therefore, HPV testing should be performed to assess the association of HPV with HNSCC regardless of p16 expression.

This study illustrated the mutation patterns of HRR genes in Chinese population with localized and locally advanced prostate cancer. These results provide further evidence that HRR gene mutations were more prevalent in patients with higher Gleason grade, or with very-high-risk level. Patients with these clinicopathologic characteristics may need more precise stratification through molecular detection.
